The Smoked Trout on an onion bagel was the best thing I ate on a recent trip to LA and the Cold Brew was also incredible. Both the person who took my order and the one who brought the order to the window were really kind and great. This would be my number one place to get some food in LA!

I’d been meaning to try Maury’s for a long time and finally made it. Everything tasted fresh and exactly what I expected from a good bagel shop. I had the Lox open and really enjoyed it. Coffee was good too. I always wish places served a bigger cup, but it did the job. One thing that really stood out was how fast everything was. Ordered, got my food, and was eating within minutes. I appreciate that. There are only outdoor tables, so don’t count on getting a seat if it’s busy. Also no restroom or sink, so come with clean hands. They also have refrigerators with juices, smoked salmon, pickles, and other things to take home. Definitely a place I’ll come back to and try more of the menu.

The chocolate banana bread is my ultimate favorite banana bread of all time. It is moist and full of flavor. You will enjoy it. Next, I’m not a fan of blueberry and prefer strawberry but the worker said it’s pretty good so I gave it a try and I’m so glad I did. I got a plain bagel with blueberry smear and it was delicious. It didn’t taste like blueberry too much. I really liked it.

Amidst flourishing bagel places in town, not sure how we haven’t heard of Maury’s until very recently. I was pleased by the fact that this place has decent crowd yet I didn’t need to queue for an hour just to get my hands on my bagel LOL (you know what I mean). Their servers were all super passionate and cheerful as well, just making us feel well treated. Only outdoor seats by the curbside available, but quite many with quick turnaround. They had plenty of bagel choices from the usual plain, sesame, everything, jalapeno cheddar, up to more interesting one like za’atar. We got The Mori, serving very peculiar wasabi tobiko roe cream cheese with smoked salmon, feeling like enjoying luscious sushi mix on a bagel! We also tried their vegan cashew spread on everything bagel just out of curiosity. Somehow tasted more like greek yogurt to me, which I might fancy if mixed with other toppings rather than on its own. My favorite was surprisingly the sweet one, blueberry cream cheese, which turned out being perfect sweet and slightly tangy combo served generously. Not to mention, the everything bagel was soooo good with slightly crispy edge yet very moist and fluffy center!

It was a great bagel. What else can I say? It was great. Fast service. Delicious. Perfect start to a Sunday morning. I got the egg salad bagel. My girlfriend got the triple pickle with tomato.
